I bought a mid century house with three pastel bathrooms — all in great shape: pink, blue and Ming green. I’m having a ball picking out wallpaper. This is a great resource.

My home was built in 1962 and the main bathroom has great pink riles with black & mint green accent tiles…..and I love it! This website makes me feel “less ashamed” of my love for it! I pledge I will keep it pretty in pink. Also, I feel like the tiles are a great choice in a bathroom, so easy to clean. I will post a pic soon. Thanks#

I want to save our 1958 pink bathroom!
Latest recommendations of modern new pink toilet?

I have a pink tiled bathroom with sea green toilet, tub, and sink. Glad to find this site to help me figure out what to do to enhance and embrace it!

My wife & I bought our home 20 years ago, a simple ranch style Florida house and it was just what we wanted, a 2/2 with tirrazzo floors and still had 1960 style. It had a pink in-wall GE oven and matching electric stovetop set on a pink laminate counter top. The oven, stovetop died & were replaced with modern. The pink laminate countertop was too warn out & had to go. The main bathroom has pink tile with a brown tiled border and a pink tub. We wanted to keep the home with as much vintage it came with. So we toned down the pink bathroom with aqua paint on the walls and white countertop / sink with with brushed nickel faucet. Surprising, the aqua, pink and white – all work well together. Next project, what to do with the mauve bathroom.

I love my pink & black tiles fro 1958, and if anyone smashes them up or tears them down, I will put a curse on them! LOL! But the rest of my bathroom is gross. The (white) tub, toilet and sink are disgusting, the floor is revolting, the ceiling is peeling, the vanity is falling apart. Anyway, I solemnly swear to keep my pink & black 1958 tiles, no matter what. I love them!!

My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a home built in 1968, with a gorgeous flower pattern white and pink ceramic tile floor, pink toilet, pink sink, and pink ceramic tiles half way up the walls all the way around, sadly, the pink tub must have been replaced with a white one but I am on the search for a pink tub to replace that one. I LOVE my pink bathroom. I grew up in a house built in the 50’s and the bathroom was pink, the realtor said you can easily replace the pink, Are you crazy??? no way, I pledge to keep the pink 🙂

I recently bought a home built in the 30″s complete with a great pink and brown bathroom. Some of the tile needs repair but I am committed to saving this room!

Does anyone know of a bathroom remodeler specializing in vintage in the New Jersey area?

I do solemnly pledge to keep and cherish my pink toilet, tub, and sinks (yes, I’m fortunate to have 2!) for as long as I shall live… in my fabulous 1962 bomb shelter of a house. Thanks for the resource and support of your website!

We recently bought and started to renovate a house built in 1937. The previous owners remodeled in the 60’d and 70’d (from what we can tell from the fixtures and colors). The main bathroom still had the fabulous pink toilet, sink and tub set, they added blue tile (now cracked and in poor shaped) and a couple layers of flooring. My husband was In favor of removing and replacing the whole thing. When we pulled the tile we found the bathroom started life with the pink fixtures and green walls paper. We installed white subway tile with a pink liner covering 2/3 of the walls, and painted the remaining top of the wall. Then we sanded the oak floor and put three coats of oil based polyurethane on it. We were able to update the bathroom while keeping the charm of our 1937 pink bathroom. *I was hoping I could upload pictures.* I did have to promise my husband the master bathroom will have white fixtures when we build it.
Thanks for the ideas and in couragement- my family asked if I was going to print your page and post it in the room if we are transferred and have to sell the house someday.
